ask.com took over and i didn't ask for ask
I installed a greeting card disk from ArcSoft that came as a bonus to hp printer software and it took over Firefox and forced me to use ask.com as my web browser and I can't get rid of it. How do I get Firefox back as my main web browser and get rid of ask?

ask.com is not a web browser, do you mean that ask.com is now being used for searches from the location bar in Firefox?
If that is your problem, you need to change a hidden preference.
- Type about:config into the location bar and press enter
- Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
- Locate the preference keyword.URL, right-click on it and choose Reset, this will set it back to the default Google search

Yes, that is the case, though improperly stated. Can I get rid of it once and for all as I find it a nuisance.
