Firefox 4 ignores my "do not remember password setting" for the netflix website only and automatically logs me in. Any help on this? Thanks.

Under tools settings, remember passwords, it has exception to not remember netflix sign in, but every time I go back, even if I close and reopen firefox, it still logs me in. I have unchecked remember passwords to no avail. However, netflix seems to be the only problem site for this. Running windows 7, 64b, firefox 4.01

Did you close all tabs with the Netflix site on it if before closing Firefox?

Otherwise session restore saves the cookies and they are still there from the previous session.
You also need to let cookies expire when Firefox is closed.

Saved passwords are only important if there is a password form on the page and that form gets filled automatically or after typing the first letters of the name.

Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie.

"Remove the Cookies" from a website to make that website forget you.

Hello cor-el. Thanks for the reply. I deleted the cookies and went back to the site and logged in. However after closing firefox and going back to netflix I was once again automatically logged in. The cookie was back and I think netflix wants cookies enabled to access their site. This never used to happen though and as I stated before this is the only site that seems to do this even though I don't want it to. Under security settings, remember passwords is checked, but under exceptions http://signup.netflix.com is there, which of course seems to be ignored. Perhaps netflix changed something on their site, but if they did I wasn't notified. Any more suggestions? Thanks.

Ok. I went under the custom settings for history and found what you meant. It seems to be working like it originally did, and that is good news! Thanks again cor-el. Much appreciated.
