How do I un-install the update that disabled my add-on's that I depend highly upon?
Today I downloaded your update, THEN I was told that some programs I highly depend upon have been disabled, how do I un-install the update and get my functionality back for my programs. I was not having any problems until I downloaded the update. I am not happy. The programs involved in the order of there importance are Freecorder and U-tube Video Capture.

You can make Firefox Firefox 5.0 look like Firefox 3.6.18, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 5.0, or 4.0.1, look like 3.6).
Research your extensions,
You might also find addition information on the extension's add-on page, some may have updates, some solutions may be found in the developer comments or user comments on the add-on, or on the "View all versions" link which is part of the Release notes at the bottom of the add-on page where you may find a compatible version available that is waiting for approval.
Force Compatibility
You can force 5.0 "compatibility" with the "Compatibility Reporter" extension, or with extensions.checkCompatibility using about:config.
One of the nice things about having extensions is that you can disable them and still use Firefox, disabled extensions will still get update notices. Or maybe use another extension until the one you want is fixed or works for you.
Restore an Earlier Version
For those that really need an earlier version of Firefox, find your system and the Firefox version you want in releases, download and start the install.
- or with the latest of version 3
When reinstalling Firefox from a download, Firefox must be down once the installation starts. When the installation finishes, don't let the install start firefox for you. Instead end the install and start Firefox in your normal manner, thus preventing creating a new profile which does not have your bookmarks cookies, etc (but your old profile would still be around and would).
