I have downloaded Firefox okay but am still getting a message saying that5 this version is outdated

I have downloaded Firefox version 5 and that is what I am now useing. But every time I start it up I get an annoying message telling me that "this version is out dated"; and am given the invitation to down load version 5. How is it that while I have version 5 I am continually told to down load version 5. How do I get rid of this message?
