Not to bring up IE but a feature I have been looking for in FF5+ that is in IE8+ is the ability to when clicking on a Folder in the Bookmark Toolbar and then Middle Clicking a Link to open in a New Tab, I would like the menu to stay open to allow multiple web pages opened from the same menu without it closing.

Is there an addon that supports this or a feature that could be implemented easily?

Thank you!

You can use the Bookmarks Sidebar to achieve that.

  • View > Sidebar > Bookmarks (Ctrl+B)
  • Press F10 or tap the Alt key to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily if the Menu Bar is hidden.

While this work-around is another method, its far from the actual question of the original post.

This has been a feature I've been hoping would eventually be at the very least an option in the settings for a LONG time now. Many friends I have amongst myself typically only use the Bookmark Toolbar due to its quick access and unintrusive UI. Because of this, we organize everything in folders and it would enable us to more efficiently open multiple bookmarks if this feature was available.
