After downloading latest version of Firefox, logging into gmail gets hung up and I have to reload

I have the fastest internet connection. But when I try to reload using HTML, it immediately logs in...

Also the nav bar: file, edit, etc is missing so I cannot keep my tabs for the next session.

Right-click on the Firefox toolbar and select Menu Bar to show the menu bar.

Can you describe further the reloading issue please?
