I am getting a flashing/changing tab heading announcing a message from someone and can not stop it
the tab heading states: carmeliagtrosenwald sent you anew message, then it alternates with the standard heading, farmboy1050-yahoo mail. I have no way to stop this from happening, do not know this person, and don't know how to retrieve or delete the message

Disable Yahoo Messenger in your Yahoo Mail account.
Use the arrow on the right of your account name to go offline or sign out.

that solved the problem. I thought I was not signed in to the messenger thing, just don't use it at all. thanks
