I use Firefox 9.0.1, on Windos XP Home.

I marked at Security the "Save passwords for sites" but it doesn't work. Even, doesn't appear message to ask me if I want to save password. Cleared history etc, also reinstalled FIREFOX, but still nothing. Any thought? Thanks.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
