Firefox 13.0 changed home page behavior. How do I change it back?
After upgrading to 13.0, everytime Firefox opens, it opens to the "Welcome to Firefox" page ( http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/13.0/whatsnew/?oldversion=rv:12.0 ). My normal home page opens in another tab. In the Options, my home page looks to be correct.
How do I get Firefox to actually open to my home page and not the "Welcome to Firefox" page?

See these articles for some suggestions:

Thanks for the reply. But, it's very confusing. The article that seems to fit best, only links to other articles on different subjects.
Tried all the methods. None of them worked.
So, the take-away is that Firefox 13.0 is broken, or the upgrade path is broken. There is no way to reinstall the previous version. The only solution seems to be to read a whole collection of articles that link to other articles, most of which aren't for this problem, but have to be read to know that. All to to perform lengthy troubleshooting operations, that don't fix the problem. Thanks, Firefox.
If I have to spend hours trying unsuccessfully to fix Firefox... WHY ISN'T THE FIREFOX TEAM SPENDING HOURS FIXING FIREFOX??? Seems to me they should have a better chance than me at fixing Firefoxes issues.
How about if Firefox gets properly fixed? SUGGESTION: Don't release a new version until the upgrade path is bug-free, instead of making us do Safe Mode and Reset to Factory Settings, etc? Which don't even fix the problem!!!
The Firefox team needs to get on the ball about this.
Upgrading to the newest version of Firefox SHOULD NOT BE SO PAINFUL!!!
Sorry for yelling, but quotation marks don't add enough emphasis.

Yeah I have same prblem bloody hate it I want my home page t open on top not this crap WHAT DO WE HAVE TODO TO REMOVE THIS PAGE
You can try to reset Firefox if you can't solve it by removing the prefs.js and a possible user.js file.
Reset creates a new profile and tries to import some settings from the old profile leaving the old profile intact.
Hmmm. Same question. Different proposed solutions. Aren't support databases fun?
When I have a couple of hours to kill, and a bellyful of patience, I might try these "new" solutions.
Firefox 13.0.1 has the same problem 13.0.0 did. Firefox used to be able to update itself. It's done so for me, without issue, many times over the years. Something about version 13 is broken, so far.
I can only hope someone from the Firefox development group at Mozilla is reading these problem reports.
In the meantime, if you want to revert back to version 12, here is a link: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/products/download.html?product=firefox-12.0&os=win&lang=en-US But, it'll nag you to update.
