I would like to download the latest version of Firefox for android. (the previous version didn't work well, so had to uninstall it).Please could you send me a link to the .APK file. I won't use google play or their other products due to Google's disregard for people's privacy. Thank you, Jay

See the direct from FTP link at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android#Download_Firefox_for_Android

Note by downloading the apk directly there is no update method. You will need to download the updated apk to pick up security fixes, new features and stability fixes.
