I have been trying to get rid of Babylon to absolutely no success; in About:config, it shows up, and I can't delete it, I want to delete all entries.

I have tried everything to get rid of Babylon. I took all mention of it out of the registry, deleted every file I could find, and the only place that lists it is in about:config. Two files won't let me change it to default. I believe those two files let babylon re-insert itself. It stopped showing up awhile ago in the add-remove programs. It no longer puts a toolbar in, just installs itself as the homepage. And no, my homepage has not been changed in settings. Please help! Both start with : avg.install.userHPSettings. One is the babylon webpage, the other is Search the web(babylon).

You can check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.
