Import bookmarks into mobile FF
I have Firefox mobile installed on my new android phone. I want to import bookmarks from a file, how can I do that? I do not want to sync with a PC, just import.

Sync is a good option when you are importing bookmarks to a mobile from a PC. see if this can help:
Export Firefox bookmarks to an HTML file to back up or transfer bookmarks
Firefox for Android does not have a way to import bookmarks from a file.
You will need to use a solution such as Firefox Sync. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-up-firefox-sync
That answers my question, FF can not import Bookmarks from a file.
I've used FF Sync between PCs w/o any problems but when I used it on my Android it wiped out all of the Bookmarks on both devises. I refuse to go through that again. The same has happened to others, so sync isn't an option.
That's a pretty poor situation for Firefox, especially considering that it's supposed to be user friendly and user adjustable. And it's my main desktop browser by choice, BTW.
However, on my desktop, I keep a LONG and LARGE list of bookmarks for many things. But on my mobile phone and tablet, I don't need or want ALL those desktop bookmarks. But I'd also prefer not to have to manually re-add the ones I do want on a device by device basis.
I can't understand why Firefox for mobiles can't have the functionality to allow bookmark imports by file????
