There seems to be a lot of videos on the web that won't play. I suspect that these videos are h.264.

Ex: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x138w7l_top-10-saturday-night-live-sketches_shortfilms

I would like to use Firefox mobile but an inability to play video is pretty much a death sentence. Is there a plugin or a setting that will fix this?

I am using an Asus Transformer Infinity with Android 4.2. Not rooted, stock rom.

I tried disabling all plugins with no result.

It works fine for me. Please install the Adobe flash plugin.

Note: Google stopped supporting adobe flash, so install older version of flash and try it..

Install the flash manually

Is there no way other than installing an unsupported plugin? Neither Google or Adobe support Flash for Android any more. Flash for mobile is dead at this point.

Nope, Dailymotion needs flash to play the video.

Just check [x] unsupported, after installing uncheck it

That's not really accurate. Dailymotion doesn't need Flash. I can view the videos fine in chrome or opera. It sounds like it would be more accurate to say Firefox needs Flash to view videos on the web. Unfortunately for me that means I will have to go back to Chrome. While I don't generally have a problem with Flash, I do have an issue with becoming reliant on an unsupported (and essentially dead) product.

I wanted to switch to Firefox because of the plugin support. But the plugins aren't going to get me to install Flash. They aren't that exciting.
