This is in the separate search bar, not the URL bar which can also be used as a search bar. It seems to happen only with Google selected. If I select one of the other search engines for the search bar, then the problem goes away. I'm running the latest version of Firefox on Mac/Mavericks.

Hi Jay777

Try the following please.

You turned off Show Suggestions inside the Google search bar.

To turn on Show Suggestions: Click once inside the search bar then right-click inside the bar. At the bottom of the right-click menu, choose Show Suggestions

Turn it off and restart firefox, and then turn on again and restart again.

See if this works for you!
