I have several email addresses which I read in Thunderbird, & get repetitive spam. Copying Message Filter settings?
I have several function based email addresses for my company. I get spam. The same spam seems to come in many of my public email addresses. I have a server based spam filter, but several kinds of spam make it through to my desktop. I would like to be able to maintain one list of message filters for these separate email addresses, or to be able to copy my filter settings from my main email address to each of the 4 other email address's message filter tool. Is either available or possible?

Using static filters to fight spam is pretty much hopeless. If you want to try anyway ...
The file that stores your filter settings is called "msgFilterRules.dat". Each account will have its own "msgFilterRules.dat" file, stored in the "Local Directory" for the account in your profile. The Local Directory is specified at the bottom of Tools -> Account Settings -> Server Settings, right by the Browse button. The filters for Local Folders are stored in the Mail\Local Folders directory in the profile.
