Thunderbird 31.0 starts up dislaying a subfolder instead of the inbox. Resetting did not help. How can I get back to showing the inbox on startup?

Last night I shut down while in a subfolder. Today TB starts in that subfolder and I can't get back to the inbox.

I know that my inbox still exists since it appears for about 1/3 second on startup, then the subfolder appears. Also, using a search, I can find a message received yesterday.

I couldn't find a solution in the Mozilla help files or even googling the problem. I'm sure the fix is obvious and I'll probably feel stupid when I learn the answer!

There is just one tab at the top of the screen, with the subfolder name.

christ1, your suggestion lead to the solution. Thank you!

After checking the View - Layout - Folder pane, I got a limited menu. Then I found that in View - Folders, "Recent" was checked instead of "All." Checking "All" restored the menu I had lost.

I really appreciate your help.
