Firefox stops being able to load webpages, then when I close it, I can't terminate the process and can't open other instances.

Sometimes, without warning, Firefox ceases being able to load webpages. When I close the window, firefox.exe doesn't close, and when I go to terminate the process in Task Manager or Process Explorer, I get "Access is Denied".

Attempting to open another instance just creates another process that I can't close.

I haven't tried re-installing Firefox, I'm hoping to do that as a last resort.
