Chosen solution

The default action for any message that Thunderbird deems as Junk is to place a Junk icon beside the message and place it in the Inbox. You can modify this action by setting up Junk controls but if you have not done this there will be no Junk folder created.

You might log into your account at your email providers web mail page and check their Spam folder. Most provides do spam filtering and the missing emails might be there.

Are you using Pop or IMAP mail account?

Do you have this setting: 'View' > 'Folders' > 'All' OR 'Menu Icon' > 'Folders' > 'All'

@Denalang. Either make your language appropriate for a family site. Or you will have your account cancelled. As it is I will d3elete your two responses here as totally inappropriate. I do not care if the sentiment is correct, it is the language that forces my decision.

Don't Know what country your from Mate...But here in Australia that word is Not inappropriate and it is definitely not a swear word, I would have thought your respect for different cultures would have been paramount. And it seems to me difficult to comprehend how Immediate a reply has been given over what was assumed to be bad language and yet NO Assistance or efforts are made at all regarding the Repair and Proper Functioning of service on Programs that are faulty...seems to me this falls into a serious case of neglect for customer care.... In reply from Port Augusta... Yep that is South Australia

You hit the nail on the head. This site is multicultural as well, so respect the culture of others.. Because it is acceptable to Aussies does not make i acceptable to everyone. What is acceptable in the pub is also not necessarily acceptable at Father Pope's dinner table even here.

The last time I went into a Centrelink Office the guy that was telling them it was Bull***t was being escorted from the building his question unanswered and his plight unrequited, by a guy in uniform. Apparently it is not acceptable in Australian Government offices.

If you want to split hairs, your supposed to post your own question if you want support. That was in the pages of junk you clicked through to get here originally. So not only was the posting using language that was not suitable, it was not posted in the appropriate place. So your missive was emailed to the two people participating and the thirteen that clicked the I have this problem. You however did not send any message to Mozilla (they don't do Thunderbird anymore BTW) or the Thunderbird Council. You spammed 15 people with your opinions.

Support is provided by the community. Fellow Thunderbird users. There are no paid staff just volunteers writing the program, writing the support articles and doing support.

You want to know why you got an immediate response. Someone on this thread reported your post using the report abuse button. So I get to either come here and referee or just clean house instead of answering peoples questions. Personally being an internet cop is not to my liking. But in an international community sensitivities are huge.

Now to customer. Your financial involvement is what. You paid for the software? You donated to the support of Thunderbird? Or, are you like me just a user of some open source software. My guess is truly the latter.

So before you get all excited about customer care, how about actually asking a question using the process provided, starting here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/thunderbird

If no one replies then you may have grounds for complaint. so far your just complaining on a thread from someone who has a solution to their issue that worked for them. to that end I am going to lock the thread to limit the spam damage we are causing. My apologies to the others here.
