Classified junk mail intermittently not moving to junk folder
Hello,
I am running Thunderbird 31.3.0 and all of a sudden the junk mail (which is classified and marked) is not being moved to the junk mail folder intermittently on some of the IMAP accounts setup on Thunderbird.
Again, this problem only intermittently occurs but it seems to happen on the same couple of email accounts. The junk mail is marked and stays in the inbox but does not automatically move to the junk folder. If I unmark one in the inbox and remark it - it moves automatically. if I restart Thunderbird, all newly received junk moves as expected for a time until the problem intermittently start occurring again.

Have you checked the junk settings for those accounts in Account Settings?
Yes, I have. They are the same as they other IMAP accounts that are working. Also, its only "sometimes" this behavior is exhibited. If you stop Thunderbird and restart - behavior resumes as normal until a random period of time the unexpected behavior resumes.
Does this behaviour happen in Thunderbird safe mode? Maybe an extension is interfering?
Haven't tried that yet but will give it a try and report back.
Thanks
I have the same problem and it happens every time Thunderbird updates. Usually, it resolves itself if I restart the computer. However, this time it did not. In addition to the junk not automatically going into the folder, I now can't delete anything, not even non-junk. If I close Thunderbird and open it back up. Everything works for a little while, then it stops again. I have disabled all add-ons and that has not had any effect. I've also removed both the trash and the junk folders on all of my accounts, and established new ones. That worked temporarily, but then the problem resurfaced within a couple of minutes.

All right! Works in Safe Mode. I'll leave it in Safe Mode for now until I get the time to start unwinding ad-ons to track down the culprit. Thanks.
Well, it worked for a while, but the same problem returned, and now if I switch to Safe Mode it only works for a few minutes. I'll have to start going down the diagnostics list.
