how to remove tab in speed dial

i have many tabs in speed dial - r click on a tab brings up dropdown list which includes "remove tab" clicking on this and nothing happens. go to task mgr' indicates firefox not responding.

You would have to contact the author of speed dial if there is a problem with the extension.

Would i also need to contact developer to get the pop up android ad removed or is the a firefox ad? thanks
