A new window opens with the home page(s).

You can check the home page setting:

  • Tools > Options > General > Startup: Home page

Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.

In Windows 8.1, the home page does not show any pipe symbol. Keeps opening options window when I start Firfox.
