can't receive email in one account
I can't receive email in one of 7 accounts in Thunderbird 38.5.0. I think this started with the last update. When attempting to receive email, I get the message: There was an error downloading the following message: From .... Subject .... This message may contain a virus or there is not enough disk space. Skip message?
I reply NO.
I have received the message in a different account by having the sender resend it. No Virus, it is just text. I have about 330GB free space. I have deleted old emails and compacted folders. The largest folder is about 700MB. Other accounts from the same server are OK. Not sure what to do next.
Chosen solution
I ended up deleting and recreating the account and it is now working. I have been using Thunderbird with this account for about 5 years and I can't explain why it stopped working in mid December. It's working now. Thanks for the update.

The first time the message download is attempted and I reply NO, I get the following message: Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.
Try to start *Windows* in safe mode with networking enabled.
- Win8 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode
- Win7 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
- XP http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/boot_failsafe.mspx
Still in Windows safe mode, start Thunderbird in safe mode.

Does the problem go away?
