Maximum number of false attempts
my account is on lockdown and I cannot either correct it or register a new account. I entered an old password by mistake and now even when I try to register a new one or reset my existing password I am still locked out.

hi Halfkenny, we are currently having some issues with firefox accounts - those should resolve themselves later on though, so please have a bit of patience at the moment and try to log-in again in a bit. thank you for your understanding!
There have been problems over the past days with the Firefox account service used to sign on to Sync. Most these issues should be fixed now. See Mozilla — Cloud Services Status:
