The control key, all alone, enlarges web pages and email bodies in Thunderbird.
control++, control+-, and control+0 all work as expected, but if I'm not quick enough to let go of the control key, or if I just press the control key all alone, the web page I'm on (including graphics) or the email body I'm looking at in Thunderbird just get larger and larger. The problem seems to be limited to Mozilla as the other browsers, Word, etc. don't exhibit this behavior.
I have no idea what combination of keystrokes caused this! I have rebooted.

It could by the Control key is sticking. Hit it many times very fast (both).

You're on to something here. It would have to be the "+" key sticking as opposed to the control key, but actually the + key isn't sticking (I can't prompt a series of + characters to appear in Word). I disconnected my USB mouse and failed to cause the problem, then reconnected it and did see the problem again. I'm concluding there's something wrong with the mouse wheel. Thanks Fred!
That was very good work. Well Done. Best to make sure with a new mouse.
