How do I get rid of Easy Photo Edit toolbar on Mozilla?

more options

I downloaded something called "Easy Photo Edit" in order to edit a pic. It didn't work and worse it has submerged itself into my Mozilla Firefox tool bar (none of my other browsers have been affected).

I have already tried:

1.Uninstalling Easy Photo Edit following the steps outlined here:

http://freeuninstallguide.com/uninstallarticle/Steps-by-steps-To-Uninstall-Easy+Photo+Editor_28_187975.html

2. I have uninstalled Mozilla Firefox twice and each time I download it again Easy Photo Edit is still part of it.

Attached is a pic of my Mozilla Firefox home page which Easy Photo Edit has taken over.

Please help. Thanks

Hi Shophar, a toolbar button or entire toolbar usually is added by an extension.

You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. All extensions are optional. If in doubt, disable.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Any improvement?

If you have an extension you cannot remove, that usually indicates it was installed in a shared location outside your currently active profile (settings) folder. We can help you research the location if necessary.

You mentioned your home page being taken over. If you need to change your home page to a different site, please see either of these articles:

You can test by launching a new window (Ctrl+n).

If you find that it changes again the next time you start Firefox, we can help you with the steps to track down what is causing that.
