The orange flame icon means that Thunderbird thought that the e-mail was spam and that is why it is in the Spam folder. If the e-mail does not have the orange flame icon, then your e-mail server put the e-mail into your Spam folder. Whether the orange flame is there or not will determine where our attention needs to be for solving the issue.
