Lightning won't let me add tasks to Google Calendar

When I try to add a new task with Lightning, there is no option in New Task window's "Calendar:" field to select my Google Calendar. It only shows the local "Home" calendar as the lone option. Because of this, any tasks I create in Thunderbird do not sync to my Google Calendar and don't show up on my other devices.

Finally, I deleted the local "Home" calendar to see if that would force something, but now whenever I try to create a new task, nothing happens at all.

Any help with this would be much appreciated!

If you are using caldav, it does not support tasks. If you want tasks you have to use the provider for google calendar add-on
