how to change the print size on my outgoing emails?

when i type my email, the text size is too large; I can reduce text size, BUT I can't lock the change in. It reverts back to "too large."

Options > composition > General

Note that Medium is the size used by web browsers to render text, so it may well be your recipients do not see your mail as "too large"
