Hover in address bar doesn't reveal current URL
I don't know when this changed. It used to be that if I let the mouse pointer hover over the address bar, a little box opened just below so that I could see the complete URL of the website I was currently on. I attached a screen shot that shows the info box when I hover over the https icon in the address bar. When I hover over the URL itself in the address bar, I get nothing. This change was recent, but I can't point to a time or version when it changed, because I just became aware of the change. How do I get the info box back?
Chosen solution
I don't know what I was doing before, but it looks like the information is there after all. I just noticed the other day that the URL shows up again. This makes looking at the URL much easier than the other stuff suggested.

Hi, never remember that myself. Unfortunately if it was a Extension then it would not be allowed to do that now to protect Firefox and you. You will have to use the arrow to see sites you have been to.
If need to see the address click and then use the arrow key to run to the right end.
Or can click on the Circle with a i (Show Site information) and under General will show the address.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
Separate Security Issue, please update your Flash 28.0 r0 Flash Player Version: 30.0.0.113 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, it doesn't solve my problem.
I don't want to be argumentative, but it was a simple feature, no extension or add-on. Just put the mouse pointer over the address bar and see the current URL. That doesn't sound like a security issue to show the whole URL. I already knew the website I was looking at, I just wanted detail of the URL.
The suggestion to click in the address bar and use the arrow to get to the end is tough when it's a long URL. That's why seeing the whole thing at once in the little floating info box was useful. Clicking on the "Circle i" doesn't display the URL.
I don't want to be argumentative,
When is said it usually is.
As I mentioned I do not remember. Yes I understand what you want. I did not say this solves your problem. I gave info on what was there.
As for Security issue it states clearly , Separate Security Issue. In other words has nothing to do with your question but to draw your attention to the issue that needs to be addressed. 2 versions behind means 100's of ways to be attacked. Take the information as it was meant to be and that was to inform you as we do to all people that are out of date with their Flash. Thank You for understanding the issue as was presented back.

Note that this is a bug that has been fixed in Firefox 63, unfortunately they decided not to take this to Firefox 60 ESR, so in that version there is still no tooltip.
- Bug 1486166 - tooltip does not pop up when mouse over Location Bar [63]
