Mám nastavené hlavní heslo. Přestalo mi fungovat. Thunderbird se otevírá bez hesla. Odebral jsem ho a přidal znovu. Stejně to nefunguje. Co s tím?

Hlavní heslo neslouží k omezení otevření Thunderbirdu, ale jenom k šifrování v něm uložených hesel k poštovním serverům, viz článek nápovědy Ochrana uložených hesel v Thunderbirdu pomocí hlavního hesla. Bez jde Thunderbird spustit a uvidíte i v něm staženou poštu, neměla by jít ale nová odesílat ani přijímat.

Pokud chcete, aby se bez hlavního hesla TB ani nespustil, nainstalujte si doplněk StartupMaster. I když ho ale správně nastavíte, aby se TB bez zadání hesla nespustil, není to žádné velké zabezpečení a jde ho pořád jednoduše obejít. Funguje spíš jako ochrana před otevřením TB omylem.
