I reinstalled my pop3 Thunderbird and my old profile was gone. I reinstalled it, but it does not have all the filed emails from the last two decades. How can I recover them?

I found that my profile and emails were not set up in the Mozilla default directory - but on a different hard drive. All is well!

I have a similiar problem. Thunderbird created a new profile and wont accept the old profile. It gives me a message: '1v1jrkru.default is not suitable for mesage storage. Please choose another directory.' How can I move the files from the original profile and insert them in the new profile?
