I'll explain this as best I can.

Example:

I search for a politician by they name. I find in the search that they have a Facebook Page. When I click on the FB Link and go to FB I am UNABLE to use the Back Button to go back to my search results.

I use Duck Duck Go as my search engine.

This is just weird and it needs to stop. :)

Chosen solution

I see this same behavior navigating to a fb page from duckduckgo. It appears to be opening a new tab and closing your old one, and it seems this behavior is due to Facebook Containers, at least on my side. Do you have facebook container installed?

I was able to restore the old functionality by disabling Facebook Container.

Give that a shot, go to settings > add ons > extensions > Disable facebook container

That did it.

Hopefully someone at Firefox is reading these and will fix Facebook Container.

Thank you so much for your help.
