I use Sonic Studio 3 on my ROG laptop for better sound. It was working well in the past when playing any audio on Firefox, however, it stopped working the last month. The app still works when playing audio from the local hard drive, it can apply the sound effects I changed through the sound manager (sonic studio), but still, the effects don't apply when playing YouTube videos or audio from Firefox. I tried to uninstall sonic studio and reinstall it again, but the problem was not solved. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Hello,

I understand that you are experiencing an issue with Sonic Studio 3 sound effects not working on Firefox. As a Firefox support volunteer, I'm here to assist you with your concern.

To address this problem, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:

Clear Firefox cache: Sometimes, cached data can cause conflicts with certain applications. Clearing the cache might help resolve the issue. You can do this by going to the Firefox menu, selecting Options, then Privacy & Security, and finally clicking on "Clear Data" under the Cookies and Site Data section.

Disable browser extensions: Certain Firefox extensions may interfere with the functionality of other applications. Temporarily disable all extensions and check if the sound effects start working. If they do, you can enable the extensions one by one to identify the specific one causing the issue.

Update Firefox: Make sure you are using the latest version of Firefox. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements that could resolve compatibility issues. You can check for updates by going to the Firefox menu, selecting Help, and clicking on "About Firefox."

Check audio settings: Verify that your audio settings are properly configured in both Firefox and Sonic Studio 3. Ensure that the correct audio output device is selected in both applications and that the volume is not muted or set too low.

Test in a new Firefox profile: Create a new profile in Firefox and test if the sound effects work in the new profile. This helps determine if the issue is specific to your current profile. You can create a new profile by following the instructions in this support article: [link to Mozilla support article on creating a new profile].

If none of these steps resolve the issue, please let me know and provide additional details such as your operating system version and the specific version of Firefox you are using. This will help us further investigate the problem and provide you with more targeted assistance.

I hope this information helps. Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions or concerns.

Best regards, Firefox Support Volunteer
