downloading twice when saving
Firefox version appears not to matter but I have 3.6.3 on XP SP3. When I go to a site that has a file of interest and I read that file, I then decide this is of interest so I wish to save it. I click file/save page as and input a name for the file. Firefox then fetches that file again from the site and saves it! WHY? it is already on my computer in a temp folder somewhere. How can I configure Firefox to just save the exiting file where I want with whatever name I want without downloading a 2Mbyte file all over again and wasting bandwidth and costing me money or chewing up my allowance?
an example webpage is http://www.britax.com.au/uploads/user-guides/22.pdf and it is a 12Mb file. Once you load it to read if you click file/save page as (Ctl S) it kicks off download manager and downloads the file and saves it. That means I have downloaded 1 file twice, once to read it and once to save it.
Thankyou
Norman

I have the same thing since I use FF several years ago. I posted a similar thread but this issue is constantly ignored by the Mozilla folks ... I dont know why.
