How do I get rid of the "plug-in" update screen which now appears every time I start the internet? "Tools", "Options", "Use Current Pages" doesn't get rid of it, and neither does updating the ones I want to. And "researching" doesn't either.

This started happening with a number of users just this week.
We need to figure which plugin is causing that.
Tools > Addons - Plugins - disable one Plugin and then restart Firefox to see if that solves it, try disabling them one by one and finding the culprit, then post here, please.
Thank you.
Type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter.
If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Pref = plugins.update.notifyUser if it shows as True, double-click that pref to toggle it to False
If that doesn't solve it - if you have the QuickTime Plugin installed, try disabling that Plugin.

Its not a plug-in, its the latest frikkin update to Firefox 3.6
Firefox 4 is so excremental its unuseable, which leaves abandoning Firefox as a browser if this aint fixed soon as the only remaining option
