I installed the recommended update (2 days ago), why do I need to clear my history everytime I open a specific website? It wasn't an issue before the update.

After installing the latest security update, I am unable to logon to the website below. After the username and password are entered, the website looks like it is processing the information and then returns to the same web page with a blank username and password. If I clear the history every time I visit the website, it will accept my username and password and advances to the next page. This was not an issue prior to the security update.

Possibly used a bad example of clearing history, that cleared everything for privacy, not mentioning what problems loss of history would cause.

Not saving History (Tools -> options -> Privacy), make sure you are not clearing in "Settings for Clearing History"

dmcritchie,

My settings for clearing the history has not changed from before the security update and is currently set to "Remember history". Prior to contacting help/support, I came across the help article titled, "Firefox cannot load websites but other programs can". I then followed the steps outline here:

If you find that Firefox can load some websites but not others, first clear your Firefox cookies and cache:

1. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button, go over to the History menu and select Clear Recent History....For Windows XP: At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Tools menu and select Clear Recent History.... 2. In the Time Range to clear: drop-down, select Everything. 3. Click the arrow next to Details to display the list of items that can be cleared. 4. Select both Cookies and Cache. 5. Click Clear Now.

The next step after the one above was to check for malware which I did not do because after I cleared the "Cookies & Cache", the website worked. But I don't want to do that every time I visit this site.
