The message shows in a standard mid screen windows box. It urges me to "update Firefox urgently" and has a 'more information' link to click on and an 'update now' tab and an 'update later' tab.

I read in How to Geek's newsletter that it is a Trojan.

I clicked the X an got rid of it quick. It is insistent - has now appeared three days in a row.

If that is happening once a day and just started yesterday, the message is ore than likely coming from Mozilla because Firefox 6.0 was released mid-day on the 16th.

I forgot to mention, the version it mentions is 5. something not 6. I loaded 6 already which is why I was suspicious.
