I cannot get Adobe FlashPlayer or Shockwave Flash Player to work. Help please!
Vista 32 bit - Firefox 8.0.1 - Flash will not install. Under plugins I do not have Flash available and when I searched for new plugins I did not find it on there either.
Once I get to the final step of setup either the flashplayer downloader does not come on at all or it goes to "manual install". I have tried to install directly from my download folder as well. I recently reformatted my computer and after downloading Firefox this problem has occured. I have done extensive research online and tried many different things to fix this; completely reinstalled Firefox, uninstalled my old version of Flash that I had with Internet Explorer browser, updated all Java Platforms, tried to update from sites requiring flash directly (ie; youtube), tried reinstalling Flash from adobe directly and through Firefox support links. I do not know what else to try at this point. Any tips would be very appreciated.

Okay, for anyone that is also having this problem I believe I figured out the problem. Adobe files are saved under .xpi extensions which is just another type of .zip file. If you do not have winzip installed you cannot install flash player. I now have mine working. Good luck!
