the "download now" button is missing

After installing the latest Firefox and Real Downloader versions, the "download" now button is missing from YouTube and other sites. When I look at setting this function in Real Player, selecting Firefox is not an option but it will let me select either IE or Chrome. How can I get this function to work in Firefox?
