When I try to input Japanese with my IME(I tried google and Microsoft one)in a flash field, the IME just won't activate. I am stuck with only being able to use western letters and I can't change it in any way. If I load up Opera I am able to input Japanese fine in flash fields.

I also have this problem, using the latest Firefox build (20.0.1) and the latest Flash Player (11.7.700.169).

I can input Japanese IME on other browsers, but not on Firefox. I tried reinstalling the latest Flash Player, but to no avail. I tested in on Nico Nico Douga's comment feature and weathernews.jp, but they all come out as western characters.

@iamjayakumars The website is used the most is the site below. It is a japanese chat site that uses Flash, but the sites Kurosan posted also does not work for me. http://pigg.ameba.jp/core/main

@Kurosan Great(well not really great..) to hear I am not the only one with this problem. Thought I was going nuts.

@amitshree The keyboard is set to Japanese Language(I can see the JP at the taskbar of the keyboard), but there is no way I can change the input to Japanese. I am stuck with western letters. Also when I click on a flash field. The IME logo disappears , this normally doesn't happen when I click on a normal text field.
