ff23 let me make big letters spreading my fingers and then it would reflow the page. Unfortunately ff24 lacks this very helpful function.

1. Unistall firefox 24 from your android phone (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/uninstall-firefox-your-android-device?esab=a&s=remove+firefox&r=0&as=s#os=android&browser=m24) 2. Then download firefox 23 from this link: (non-official link removed) Solved?

Thank you for your suggestion, Nellus91,

Is there no official Mozilla version available? I am wary of installing unofficial versions of anything on my machine.

Downgrading to an older version of Firefox is not recommended or supported. You are leaving yourself at risk for serious security vulnerabilities and issues such as bugs, performance problems, and website incompatibility. Please update back to Firefox 24, and describe the issue you are having, and we can correct that problem.

The reason why I went back to FF23 is explained already above, and I am not really concerned about security issues as I use the FF browser only to browse the content on my own machine's memory (a mirror of a Hebrew language site I manage); but if you fix the issue of lack of support for enlarging with spreading of fingers and then REFLOWING the resulting larger text as was done in FF23, then I would happily update to FF24.1 or FF25 or whatever update has returned this function that was in FF23 but is missing in FF24. As it is some details of texts are simply too small for me to read easily otherwise, so I must have the enlarged text (especially the meteg in Hebrew with cantillation marks, if you know what that means). By the way, I am really satisfied with the rendering of Hebrew in FF23!

The text reflow option is not enabled on Release or Beta build because we are not happy with the performance.

You can use the Aurora build of Firefox to maintain the text reflow feature and maintain a currently supported version of Firefox.

You could set up Sync to get your Firefox data over to Aurora.

I prefer to use the release version of FF23 to the latest alpha.

Then you will have to wait until the feature is up to snuff and ready for release.

I don't have to wait at all, as FF23 is already just fine, in my opinion. If the feature is improved and added in a later version, that would be just fine, of course.
