There are people here.

Try starting Firefox in its Safe Mode.

With Firefox closed, hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox.

With Firefox running, use: Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

In the small dialog that should appear, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)

Any difference?

We do not live on this site, so any answer could take minutes or hours.

There can be several reasons that Firefox is not working. Try these;

Hold down the Shift key (On Mac the Options key) while starting Firefox to Start Firefox in Safe Mode
While you are in safe mode;
Firefox Options > Advanced > General.
Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration. Then restart.

Open your firewall program. First check the settings. Make sure that the program is set to tell you if a new program wants access to the web. Then go to the list of programs the firewall has. Make sure that all the programs you want to access the web are set to ALLOW. If it is set to AUTO, the firewall may not allow access.

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again:

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version)

  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs, then add it back. For detailed instructions, see Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet.
