Mousing through bookmarks will blacken each option, the header glitches and bugs terribly, and reset didn't work.

All other browsers work fine, but Firefox has always had problems. Some websites that work on other browsers, and even in Firefox on other computers, refuse to work on this machine. With the new update, the menu and tab bars are glitched beyond recognition. Resetting didn't work. I took a screenshot - is there any way to upload that?

Has Firefox always had this problem, or did it start with v29 update?
I found that after Firefox v29, a LOT of my settings and
add-ons were changed / reset. Try this; Start Firefox in Safe Mode
While you are in safe mode;
Firefox Options > Advanced > General.
Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Then check ALL of your settings. Browser and add-ons. Then restart.

Thanks for the reply, Fred! I've had the menu blackening problem for a while (see the picture), but it got much worse with the recent update. The problem persists in safe mode; I turned off Hardware Acceleration but what do you mean by check all your settings?

Under extensions, you have listed;

AVG Security Toolbar 18.1.0.443 (avg@toolbar) (Inactive)
AVG Security Toolbar 7.008.031.001 (avg@igeared) (Inactive)

I suggest you remove the outdated program, and try again.

Firefox and many of your add-ons have options or settings. They tell the program what to do.
