nigtly 36 x64 wont connect
general problem is "Websites show a spinning wheel and never finish loading" But all webpages, only on the nighlty. Normal Firefox works great. The nighly only works if firewall is disabled, but just works for some time and the wont connect. When is not connecting it comes with an other problem. Even when ending the nighly processes there will remain a nighly processes that cant be ended, saying access denied (only way to close nighly and using normal firefox is to restar the computer. Or restarting and disabling the firewall and then running the Nighly)
I have windows 8 x64 with Nighlty x64. I use windows firewall with all firefox and nighly allowed. It use to work fine until an update. And cant find a way to fix it.

Update your Flash Player v15.0.0.223 http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of <program>, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow <program> to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
- Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see
Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet. {web link}
I have flash 16 x64 and same problem. I dont really get why normal firefox works fine but nighly get no connection and it processes cant be ended. It has full windows firewall permissions. I'll keep using normal version until nighly works. All my other browsers work fine (normal ffox, Opera, chrome and Internet explorer) Dont know how to test the problem and why even if the windows firewall is full enabled to allow the firefox and the nighlty one is not working. Only firewall disabled.
some updates and no change, nighlty is useless for now.
Does this also happen with the 32 bit Nightly build?
I cant tell. I tend to use x64 in all my programs. If you mean the normal version, not the nighlty. That one is on the x86 folder. So yes, it works perfectly. The problem comes when i try to test if the nighly works, and when it doesn i have to restart the system. No i use a session restore add-on as it tends to sometime erase the last session coz the abrupt closing of the browser+restart of OS.
So i tried to uninstall all firefox and nightly and remove all regitry. Clean install of nightly x64. Same as before, nightly loads. But no connections and when that happends cant close the precesses.
Do i need to test it with the x86 nightly version? I dont know. It use to work fine with the x64.
edit: tried x86 and didnt work either

Start your Computer in safe mode. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites.
ffox no nightly works fine. nightly tents to connect for some time with firewall off, but wont last. I dont know what the problem with all nightly versions (x86 & x64) and windows 8 x64. Its really strange as every update (like once every 2 days for the nightly) worked fine. Every time i enabled the windows firewall to let the nightly pass.
even with other firewall letting the connection of the nightly wont work. Its like something in the nightly not letting to connect. Am i the only one using nightlys in windows 8 x64?
Nightly development channel builds should connect fine on Windows 8.
