I get an error box with title "XULRunner" Message is: Error: Platform version 36.0 is not compatible with MinVersion 36.0.1 MaxVersion 36.0.1 Have already run malware, no help Will not run in Safe Mode, same error message

You should not have removed your profile(s). In this case, create a new profile. If the problem is gone, you can restore the old to the new profile.
