List Folders in Folder Display Pane
On the left email folder display pane shows all my email account folders. When you click them, you see Inbox, etc.
I would like to create FOLDERS such as "Orders", "Secure Email", "Reg Req" that are displayed at all times. In other words, I don't want to have to delve down the email account folder (that are all collapsed because I don't like clutter) to find the folders just to check if there is anything in them.
My intention is to create RULES that read the 'Subject' text and forwards my incoming email to these custom folders. Based on the 'Subject' text, I want to be able to quickly see if any are in "Orders", or "Secure Email", etc.
Any suggestions?
TIA

Your subfolders can either be under accounts, which you don't seem to like, or under Local Folders, where they may be more visible but will be outside the IMAP system, hence not visible to your other computers, tablets, phones et al. You need to decide where you want your subfolders. Folders are essentially accounts, and so loose, unconnected folders don't make any sense in the accounts section of an email client.
Look at the QuickFolders add-on for making selected folders more visible. Or mark them as Favourites and use View|Folders|Favourites. Or use Saved Search folders to aggregate unread messages. Or View|Folders|Unread.
