Get New Messages and Sending not working (yahoo)

more options

Hello Guys, I use TB (52.1.0) on Mac (Sierra) . It always worked perfectly, receiving and sending messages for the 4 emails accounts I have.

SUDDENLY it stopped to receive and send. There is NO ERROR MESSAGE. It simply ignores my clicking on the GET NEW MESSAGES button. If i try to send messages, then comes up an error message saying that it was not possible to localize the password. But neither it asks me the password, only the OK button to the message.

Now, I've tried to delete all the saved passwords, but for my surprise, the box (/preferences/security/saved passwords) was empty! No saved passwords. It was always there, never deleted before, but now it's empty.

Last interesting thing. When I close the TB and launch it again, then the status bar starts very quickly the sequence of procedures, "looking for the server" etc etc, then stops in "connected to the server..." It says that is connected to a serve for which the tb DON'T KNOW THE PASSWORD, and also don't download the dozens of new message which are there, received after this problem starts.

I uses POP configuration in all these accounts.

Please, I hope someone can help me.

Thanks! Pellegrino

Ah, just to add another information. I browsed the server of my emails and changed all the passwords of that accounts. And still TB says it's connected to them, but don't download nor send, even nor asking me the passwords.

Is this a gmail account? If not, what is the ISP?

Hello Wayne Mery. No, there are 4 e-mails accounts in my Thunderbird, one is a yahoo and the other three are my own company domain,

They are configured as used to run normally before: pop.mail.yahoo.com - port 995 pop.secureserver.net - port 995 for the others.

Dear christ1, I've checked many times this link before but this didn't help me. My ISP is working normally, I can receive and send emails by the web based interface. And the thing about removing passwords I can't do because it shows no password in this "Saved Passwords" box.

At same time the status bar sometimes says "connected to pop.secureserver.net" what is so strange, since there is no saved password...

Did you by any chance use something like CCleaner to clean up files , cache etc?

Hello Toad. No, I don't. I've never even installed that in this computer...
