uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Do the Linux Equivalent Then restart system. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. --- Try to rename/remove search.json.mozlz4 (and remove possible search.json, search-metadata.json, search.sqlite) in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed to rebuild the search engines registry.
