facebook doesn't allow me to share content in firefox
hi,
I'm running firefox 59.0.1 (64-bit) in arch linux ; since a couple of days there is a wierd situation which I could cope with by googling around.
When using facebook when I want to Share content (not in other options or sites) , there appears a facebook popup wide window which tells me that it has been detected a malware in one of the devices that I have open sessions, which are an android phone and the firefox I mentioned. From the android session I can share content in facebook using the facebook lite app, there the message does not appear. it seems that the problem is only in firefox , if I open chromium I can share content. I closed all other sessions, and from firefox the problem persists. it ssems to be a facebook problem with firefox. It's pretty wierd! Any hint is welcome. Haroldo

Hi, please try : SAFE MODE
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Safe+Mode
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:
- all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
- default theme is used (no persona)
- userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
- default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
- Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
- hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
- plugins are not affected
- preferences are not affected

hi ! thank you very much.
I tried the safe mode, and tried the issue again, but it wierdly persists !
Maybe I should blame a facebook sort of conspiracy, or some other malware attack.
What else could I try?
Unfortunately looks like it is in the file system. Unless your Firewall or A/V program is stopping what it should show. Try turning them off and trying the feature.
If it is not the A/V then : Please Refresh but do this 1st: Delete your Cookies and Cache and TEST.
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
then
TEST....... If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...:
If is your Profile :
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-_Firefox
Note: Any customization will revert back to default, you will also need to reinstall Extensions.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
