Within the past month, I began receiving emails from a few coworkers with [spam] in the subject line. This causes the emails to not be received as "new," therefore, I don't receive a notification of the new email. I have turned off or unchecked all spam/scam filters I can find within the Mozilla Thunderbird settings, but that has not proven effective. This was never a problem before. Please let me know what I need to do to correct this issue. Thanks in advance!

Thunderbird does not change or insert anything in the subject line. It does not use the word Spam and you would not find any place in Thunderbird to turn spam filters on or off. Scam or Junk yes. Spam no. Neither of these two Thunderbird functions would do what you are seeing.

Your antivirus or a spam filter on your email provider;s server would be the first place to look.

Google "spam showing in email subject line" and see if anything listed helps you.

This is not a Thunderbird problem.
